Stella was born in Camberwell, London, and attended Camberwell School of Art where she studied textile design. After leaving the School of Art she worked successfully as a freelance designer for Marks & Spencer, Vyella and other major companies, she also worked in New York for two years freelancing as a textile designer. Returning to England, Stella attended Putney School of Art studying screenprinting which has many similarities with textile printing.
Six years ago Stella moved from London to the Cotswolds with her husband Michael (also an artist) where she became attracted to the countryside, particuarly the flora. Recent visits to Cornwall have resulted in a series of prints with a coastal theme.
Stella is a regular exhibitor at the Battersea Arts Fair. She had her first one-woman show at the Brewery Arts in Cirencester, where she has also exhibited in a mixed show. Stella is a member of the Fosseway Artists group which shows twice a year in Gloucestershire.
